Scoot Airlines to add Boeing 787's

With the revamp of Singapore Airlines is low cost airline scoot, to take over order for 20 Boeing 787. Initially the Boeing 787 was ordered by Singapore Airlines for delivery in 2014. This order was transferred over to scoot on October 24, 2012.

Singapore Airlines has also made a few other changes to its fleet structure for continued financial success by looking at its cost and profit margin. With the above change and selling back the Airbus A340-500 by the fourth quarter of 2013 to Airbus. For this reason cited that for a small fleet of A340 aircraft the fuel efficiency and maintenance cost is not cost effective. This comes after the Airbus A340 has come to an age of nine years with Singapore Airlines.

Scoot was founded on November 1, 2011 with four Boeing 777-200ER aircraft from SIA for which is the founder of the low cost long haul airline. First flight of Scoot was June 5, 2012. The Boeing 787-9 series aircraft will replace the Boeing 777 aircraft.
