First Next-Generation 737-800 to Russia’s Rostec

SEATTLE / Boeing [NYSE: BA] today delivered the first Next-Generation 737-800 to Aviation Capital Services LLC, a subsidiary of the State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostec). Aviation Capital Services has leased the airplane to Russia’s flag carrier, Aeroflot.

This delivery is the first of 50 Next-Generation 737s Aviation Capital Services has on order, including 737-800s and 737-900ERs. Aviation Capital Services LLC is an aircraft leasing company established in February 2011 with 100 percent participation of the Russian Technologies State Corporation.

“Russian air carriers are greatly in need of medium-range airplanes,” said Roman Pakhomov, CEO of Aviation Capital Services. “We are interested in progressive and innovative products to help us meet those needs. Boeing’s Next-Generation 737 has a reputation for its efficiency and reliability that makes it the world’s best-selling aircraft.”

The Boeing 737-800 is one of the best-selling versions of the highly successful Next-Generation 737 family, the most technologically advanced airplanes in the single-aisle market.
