São José dos Campos – Flynonstop of Kristiansand, Norway, received this week its first Embraer 190 at a ceremony at Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The aircraft, leased from a third party, will be used to launch nonstop routes between Kristiansand and key cities in Southern and Central Europe.

“The E190’s range opens up an entire continent of opportunities,” said Paulo Cesar Silva, President and CEO, Embraer Commercial Aviation. “The E190 is the ideal aircraft to bring new nonstop convenience to passengers and build new routes and frequencies with low-risk, right-sized capacity for a new carrier.”

Flynostop’s E190 is configured with 100 Elite seats in single class configuration. The airline will commence operations between Kristiansand and major European cities, including London City Airport, to tap into the growing demand for scheduled non-stop air service to/from Norway.

Embraer aircraft have been flying throughout Scandinavia for years and this is the first customer to operate an E-Jet from Norway. With the E190 acquisition from Flynonstop, there are now 27 customers from 17 European countries flying Embraer commercial jets. A total of 23 of those customers are E-Jet operators.
